Archaeological city tour in cusco | Half day

The City tour is a spectacular tour of the city where you can feel the magic of the Andean culture visiting the most important archaeological sites. It is an excellent alternative to get to know the city before visiting Machupicchu or other places.

Cusco is considered a city with a living culture because it still maintains customs from ancient times, even through the Colonial period, this makes many travelers prefer it as the main option when deciding where to spend their vacations.

Itinerary

Either in the morning or in the afternoon, we will make the Archaeological City Tour and the first point to visit will be the four archaeological sites around Cusco: The temple of Sacsayhuaman, famous for its huge blocks of carved stones and for the celebration of Inti Raymi (Feast of the Sun), in the winter Solstice, the most popular festival known in Peru, then the visit of Qenqo, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay.

Then, returning to the city of Cusco, we visit the Cathedral known as one of the most beautiful in Peru and South America, where works of the famous Italian painter and sculptor, Bernardo Bitti, are exhibited, as well as works of art of the famous Cusco school. Continuing on, we will head to Qoricancha, which means Enclosure of Gold, was the main place of worship of the Sun God.

Our return to Cusco is scheduled for 13:00 hrs (if you had the morning tour) or 18:00 hrs. (If you had the afternoon tour), then you have time to have lunch on your own in a typical restaurant in the historical center of the city.
