City tour lima | Half day

The half day City Tour in Lima is a fantastic tour of the city, as well as the main traditional neighborhoods.

Lima is considered the city of kings and this name was given by the conqueror Francisco Pizarro, the central area still maintains clear traces of the Colonial period so the history still remains alive in its streets.

This experience is intended for all ages and can be done individually to be able to meet new people, as a couple or with friends with whom to share emotions and also as a family to live an unforgettable adventure.

Visited Places: We will appreciate more than fifty monuments and colonial buildings among which are the Paseo de la Republica, the Plaza San Martin, the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Municipal Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Basilica Cathedral, among others, we will also visit the Museum of the Central Reserve Bank and the Monumental Complex of San Francisco.
Groups: Daily, Minimum 2 passengers and Maximum 12 passengers (Due to COVID protocols, only 12 people are allowed per guide and in case of more people in the group, an extra guide would have to be hired).

Itinerary

In the morning or in the afternoon, depending on the chosen time, we will go to the Historic Center of Lima. Where we will appreciate what was the old Lima Cuadrada and appreciate more than fifty monuments and colonial buildings among which are the Paseo de la Republica, La Plaza San Martin, La Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Municipal Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, among others.

Continuing the tour we will visit the Museum of the Central Reserve Bank where we will appreciate the Collection of Treasures of Peru in which we will find objects of ceramics, gold and textiles of various pre-Columbian cultures. Reception at the airport and transfer to the chosen hotel.

We will also find the Monumental Complex of San Francisco which is the largest sample of colonial religious art in America. Its main attraction is the visit to its subway crypts known as the Catacombs. Finally we will go to the Contemporary Zone of Lima where we will appreciate the main buildings and residential areas of Lima, El Olivar de San Isidro, Miraflores, Larcomar and the Parque del AMOR.

Return to the hotel at 13:00 hrs approx. so you can have lunch on your own.
