The Sacred Valley of the Incas is an extensive valley located in the Peruvian Andes, in an area between the towns of Pisac and Ollantaytambo, which is irrigated by the Vilcanota-Urubamba River.
It was highly appreciated by the ancient Inca empire due to its special geographical and climatic qualities, becoming one of its main production points due to the richness of its lands. In fact, it is the place where the best corn grain in Peru is produced.
The Sacred Valley has wonderful landscapes, where Andean communities live and preserve ancestral customs and traditions, a sample of Cusco’s living culture. Also, this place is home to numerous archaeological monuments, legacy of Inca splendor and wealth.

Itinerary
Departure in the morning, to visit the impressive Sacred Valley of the Incas, which is located on the outskirts of the city of Cusco, we will have a stop at the viewpoint of Taray, where we will have one of the best photos of the entire sacred valley, with its mountains, river, agricultural terraces and fields, then we will go to the Archaeological Park of Pisaq, to make a tour of its terraces, houses and rooms in general. After this visit the tour continues to the colonial town of Pisaq, where you will have free time to walk around the town and shop in its typical handicraft market, then buffet lunch is included in the town of Urubamba (Heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas).
Finally we head to Ollantaytambo, a magical and picturesque town, also considered a living Inca city, since most of its structures in houses and rooms still preserve the Inca architecture as a whole. with its colonial and modern architecture, in this beautiful place we visit the archaeological park of Ollantaytambo, a place that has temples, cultivation terraces, barns and a military zone, in addition to incredible landscapes. At the end of the tour, we will go directly to the train station of Ollantaytambo (if you have scheduled train to Machupicchu in the afternoon) to board the tourist train that leaves in the afternoon, with direction to Machupicchu Pueblo or Aguas Calientes, or otherwise return to the city of Cusco, in a journey of approximately 2 hours.
